To commemorate 100 years since the outbreak of World War 1 the Year 8 students will be taking part in a Cross Curricular Remembrance Day on Tuesday 11th November.
The students will experience a variety of different war themed activities on a carousel throughout the day.
The activities on offer include:
- A session delivered by the outreach worker from Bletchley Park, who will be bringing an original Enigma Machine into school
- An activity delivered by Newcastle University on World War 1 Artefacts
- Trench Art activity
- Creating Proggy Poppy Wreaths
- Wartime Music Session
There will be a special Remembrance Assembly led by Val Cowen from the Mustard Tree Trust at 2.50pm in the main hall. Parents, carers and grandparents are more than welcome to attend.
