U11s Girls’ Football tournament on 5 June

Well done to our girls football team who played in this playoff tournament at Ponteland. As Newminster, Cragside and Ponteland all finished on equal points at the top of the league this season, the winning team would be decided after a mini playoff.

Despite losing both games by the odd goal, the girls played exceptionally well with constant determination and effort. See Twitter for the ‘end of season’ celebratory photos!

I must also add that the season does actually still go on for these girls as they will be representing our Partnership in the Summer Games at Cramlington on 23 June.

• 16 June – Area Athletics event at Monkton Stadium, Jarrow for Y6/7/8s. 10am – 3pm.
• 23 June – Northumberland School Games for our U11s Girls Football and U13s Girls Netball teams.
• 24 June – Northumberland School Games for our Y8 Sports Leaders.
• 25 June – All years Field Events Sports day.
• 26 June – All years Track Events Sports day.
• 27 June – County Athletics event at Gateshead Stadium.
• 3 July – KS2 Swim Gala at Morpeth Leisure Centre
• 6 July – U13s Girls Beach Rugby event at Tynemouth
• 10 July – KS3 Swim Gala at Morpeth Leisure Centre
