Pupils in Year 7 and 8 got up and active in our first ‘Health and Wellbeing ‘day. They enjoyed a series of workshops investigating how they can stay healthy and happy. A team of professionals, including Olympic volleyball players, Nutritionists from the Life Factory, an Afromix dancer from Dance City and a professional drummer led a varied programme including street dance, healthy breakfasts, Samba playing and team volley ball games. Pupils also looked into peer massage and the effects of smoking and alcohol.

During the day, students gathered ideas and facts about the positive or negative effects on their social, emotional and physical health. They worked on this at the end to produce a fantastic range of posters, booklets and mind maps.

Well done and a big thank you to everyone involved in the day.
