Writer’s Club

14th July 2016Mrs K Shutler

The Writer’s Club met for the first time on 4 May. The Club provides an informal forum for our pupils to find their creative ‘voice,’ have fun with words, and enjoy the freedom and autonomy to express their ideas in whatever form they choose.

The Writer’s Club has provided an environment which from the beginning has promoted independence. I have encouraged pupils to take a ‘leap of faith’, trust their own judgements, share ideas and offer advice to each other. The resulting work has drawn on an eclectic range of subjects, which have been humorous, thought-provoking and at times emotional.

We hope you enjoy the ‘Talking Heads’ performances on our website and invite you to read additional examples of the fabulous work produced over the last nine weeks.
