The whole school was involved in remembrance day activities on Armistice day. The purpose of the day was to remember all the service men and women who have lost their lives through war.
Activities included: Training with a drill sergeant (Mr Jensen); Poppy making; Visit to Eden Camp; Ceremony at the Cenotaph with Val Cowan from the Mustard tree trust; Make do and mend sessions with Linda Jensen from the Women’s Institute; VE party; Trench Art; Wartime singing; Enigma machine workshop; Making Apple sauce; and Letter writing.

The King Edward VI School has been selected to become a National Teaching School.
The Three Rivers Teaching School Alliance delivers school-based teacher training programmes for both primary and secondary phases via the School Direct route.
