Pudsey Art Show!
For this year’s ‘Children in Need’ Newminster Middle School in Morpeth, who have been recently awarded Artmark Platinum for the second time in a row, came together on Friday 13th November to produce a Pudsey Art show!
Although the whole school community couldn’t be together in person at the moment due to COVID19, their art could be on show as one united unit.
Each student and staff member in school created a piece of art for the exhibition (models, painting, sketches, baking, bunting, gem art, jewellery, textiles, lego, digital images) which covered the school hall using the theme of friendship, care, Children in Need, Pudsey and charity.
In addition to the art show they held a Pudsey themed non-uniform day to raise money for the charity with a raffle of a Pudsey themed hamper for this fantastic charity!
Findings from recent research shows that right now the coronavirus pandemic is having a huge impact on the mental health and well-being of UK children, and for those who were already facing disadvantages, life has become incredibly difficult. It has never been more important that Children in Need can keep funding life changing projects and charities, providing crucial services for vulnerable children and young people through this crisis.
