This year’s NE regional heat of the national competition was a closely fought and particularly challenging contest.

Although Yarm – an independent school – won decisively, each of the next four teams was separated by just one point and nearly every round went to a tie breaker involving a large number of teams.

The rounds on Amphibians, Clocks, Clothing, Escapes, Houses, Knights, Little People, Snakes and Snow & Ice all sounded quite promising – but the questions were tough!

As so many teams tied for 5^th place, Newminster A just failed to make the top ten. Nevertheless both teams are fired up and planning strategies for success in next year’s competition.
