Morpeth Tennis Open Day at Longhirst Hall, NE61 3LL. 1-4pm Sunday 28 May 2017
Free Tennis from 1-4pm.
The Cricket, Hockey and Tennis clubs will all have activities running from 1 until 4pm at their Longhirst Hall grounds 2 miles north of Morpeth (post code NE61 3LL).
From 1-4pm: Tennis taster sessions for beginners of all ages and abilities.
Mini tennis for children ages 4-11 (i.e. small racquets, half court, small nets and soft balls). Older children can play with responsible adults. Annual membership for children is £25.
Adults/teenagers can hit with friends or club members, who will offer guidance and encouragement on how to play the game. Adult players can come in a group or as individuals. We are keen to offer support to all adults/teenagers wanting to get back into tennis. Racquets and balls will be available please wear non marking shoes/trainers.

Tennis club special Offers: 1.Summer adult membership deal £30 only for June –August. This entitles free play for the individual at any time dependent on club availability. (Key required for court access).
- We are offering 4 free group adult coaching sessions with a qualified coach, if you become a full member (12 months). This is a great starter for basic tennis technique, and worth £30. Tennis membership at Morpeth has many benefits, including ballot access for Wimbledon tickets. We offer cardio tennis and internal club tennis ladders for the more competitive. General play is available Saturday morning and Monday evening.
10.45-12.45pm: 2 Exhibition Tennis Doubles matches for men and women featuring first team players from the club.
From 1-4pm: Meat or Vegetarian lunch + salad, potatoes or rice plus cake for pudding are available from the clubhouse for £5 each. This is the price for children too.
