2019/20 Funding

In 2019/20 the Department for Education allocated a small sum of money (£3600) to support those students in Year 7 who did not achieve the expected levels in reading, writing and / or maths at the end of Key Stage 2 in the academic year 2018/19. This is the last time that this fund was allocated to school. 

These funds were used to support a range of interventions including:

• literacy intervention programmes e.g. Lexia
• handwriting intervention 
• additional intervention support for literacy and numeracy throughout the curriculum
• small group intervention
• reading mentors
• homework club
• greater personalisation, monitoring and emotional support for key individuals
• additional in lesson support and interventions

This was the final year that the grant was allocated and was used to provide interventions as follows:

Reading:

• 18 students in reading
  

Writing:

• 14 students in writing

Maths:

• 6 students in maths
