Well done to our U11s football team who have now reached the County Cup Semi-Finals after a 1-0 win over St Bedes.
Congratulations to James Allan with the winning goal.
A great team performance!
Enterprise day was on 6th February 2015
The theme of our enterprise day this year was ‘My teacher is a vampire’ .
Students had the opportunity to work in vertical house groups with year five, six, seven and eight working in teams to tackle the challenge of marketing and designing books.
The activity was run in collaboration with Northumberland education business partnership and local Business ambassadors who helped to run the session.
Well done to our U12s and U13s boys teams who qualified and recently took part in the County Indoor athletics event at Morpeth Leisure Centre on Friday.
The lads performed with fantastic determination and attitude and both teams finished with very respectable Silver medals.
The U13s team were just pipped to Gold by only 2 points.
On Thursday evening, sixteen very excited students from Chantry, Newminster and The King Edward VI, who’ve been studying six specially selected books since October, were rewarded by meeting the authors at last and getting their books signed.
These students have been shadowing the North East Teen Book Awards and were attending the awards ceremony at The Centre for Life in Newcastle.
Many thanks to all who attended the recent ski trip information evening in Chantry School hall on January 21st.
It was extremely nice to see so many attend and hopefully
you found the information very useful.
The excitement among our Year 7 skiers is now certainly beginning to gather momentum in anticipation for what will surely be a fantastic experience for the students involved.
All of the information which was presented during the information evening, including some ‘Fit To Ski’ exercises can now be found on our new ski trip website.
Also remember to follow us on Twitter @newminstermid as there will be regular updates throughout the trip – internet access permitting.
